In
1962 Late Mr. J. V. Kelkar laid the foundation of Metal
Coats. His quality was the sole of his hard work and
this paid rich dividends and there was no looking back,
metals coats started serving the automobile, luggage and
watch industry.
By
late sixties his son Mr. Vijay Kelkar joined him and
undertook a major expansion programme, and by the
seventies it was the only unit in western India doing
nickel, chrome, cadmium, anodizing, silver plating, and
plating on plastics.
The
house of Metal Coats has very ambitious future plans,
with economic liberalization the requirement and scope
for quality electroplating is going to rise. As such the
plating work will increase.
